A straw bale house in Hilton, WA
The intention of the client was to convert a beautifully positioned small vacant block in Hilton into a sustainable place.
A beautifully, detailed compact home that balances its modest budget with the needs of a medium size family. Using a pale e of natural materials, the architecture incorporates solar passive and active design principles to capture and shelter the sun and sea-breezes, reduce energy costs and provide a future ageing-in-place testament to the vision of the client.
